We usually take part in providing hanging baskets and railing troughs for the village for St.. Anne’s in Bloom. We would be very pleased if anyone in the community could help with this project. We need help filling the baskets and troughs, mounting them. Watering them after they are mounted is extremely important in hot sunny weather and just general care for them throughout the summer months.

Last year the Tansy Centre was pleased to be working with Pennywell Community centre in brightening up the ward with flowering troughs and hanging baskets.

We were informed that the theme for the garden this year is the Owl and the Pussycat went to sea. With the help of volunteers there have been many hours of work done in order to get the best out of the small community garden.

The Tansy Centre has also made many hanging baskets which have been placed on many lampost in the village including round Portsmouth Rd towards Asda and they have been supplied to many houses and businesses in the village.

Often a lot of effort has been put into the traffic system at the top of the bank. The troughs usually look wonderful and are a credit to the volunteers who gave up their time.
